The Cranmer Theological House was founded in 1994 in Shreveport, Louisiana and is named for the English reformer, Thomas Cranmer, Archbishop of Canterbury. Now located in The Woodlands, TX, just north of Houston, Cranmer House is a seminary of the Reformed Episcopal Church. It offers residential and online programs for laymen not seeking ordination, a certificate in Anglican Studies, a Master of Arts in Religion (MAR), Master of Divinity (MDiv), and Master of Theology (ThM).

Its mission is "to continue in the Reformed Episcopal tradition of success, now over a century old, in training orthodox clergy for service in the Church of Jesus Christ".

The official website of the seminary states: :The Houston location provides the potential for the future growth and development of the program, as well as greater prospects of cooperative partnership with fellow Anglicans of other jurisdictions in a geographical center that boasts a population exceeding four and one-half million people. The city of Houston also affords a large base of parish support, thereby enabling students to obtain practical experience through internship programs.

Cranmer Theological House also has a branch in Phoenix, Arizona, called Andrewes Hall.
