Spain 's national broadcaster, TVE. Programming includes a mix of news, discussion-based programmes and drama and documentaries from TVE'sTVE1 andTVE2 Spanish networks. It was launched in 1989. It is broadcast inSpain and worldwide (especiallyNorth America , HispanicLatin America , andEquatorial Guinea ).Several news bulletins are provided during the day, covering a mixed Spanish and International agenda. "Telediario" is a bulletin produced for and also broadcast in Spain,
simulcast on the international station. However, editions of "Telediario Internacional" are also produced specially for the channel. A daily showbiz magazine, "Gente", is broadcast nightly at 7pmGMT .A limited number of advertisements are shown on the channel. More usually, network commercial breaks on programmes broadcast live in Spain are covered with a clock and short information films about
Spain and itswildlife , although sometimes the advertisements are shown.In Europe, it is available on the
Astra 1E,Eutelsat Hot Bird 2, andHispasat 1C satellites at 19.2° East, 13° East, and 30° West respectively (as well as onEutelsat Eurobird at 28.5° East on Sky Digital, albeit encrypted, in contrast to the other transmissions in the clear on the other satellites). In the Americas, it is available as part ofRTVE 's Digital Package for America on Hispasat 1C (encrypted). In Asia, it is available onAsiaSat 2 at 100.5° E andPanAmSat 8 at 166° E (both in the clear).Program listings
