Inveraray Pipe Band

Inveraray Pipe Band was formed in 2005 by world renowned solist piper Stuart Liddell whose aim was to encourage youngsters into the world of piping and to create a pipe band in Inveraray. The juvenile band consisting of members all under the age of 18 competed in their first competition at Cowal Highland Gathering in 2006 when they were placed sixth in the Novice Juvenile Grade. In 2007 they were Champions in four of the five majors of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association at Scottish, British, Worlds and Cowal and were crowned Champion of Champions. In 2008 they were promoted to Juvenile Grade and have already won the British Championship, European Championship and World Championship and were placed second in the Scottish Championship.
