Czech Republic Football Cup 2007-08

The Czech Republic Football Cup 2007-08 is the fifteenth season of Czech republic's football knockout competition. AC Sparta Praha were the defending champion. 163 teams from nine highest leagues (four levels) participate. Teams from Gambrinus liga played their first matches in second round. Winner (or runner-up if winner promoted to UEFA cup or UEFA Champions League from Gambrinus liga) of this cup promoted to the UEFA Cup 2008-09 Second Qualifying Round.

Preliminary round

The preliminary round was held on August 22, 2007. 34 participating teams were teams from fourth level leagues (Divize A, Divize B, Divize C, Divize D, Divize E) and from 5th level leagues (regional championships). Bold teams won and moved ahead the first round.

1 - 1st level (Gambrinus liga)
2 - 2nd level (Czech 2. Liga)
3 - 3rd level (ČFL, MSFL)
4 - 4th level (Divize A, Divize B, Divize C, Divize D, Divize E)

Fourth Round

The fourth round was held on October 10, 2007. 16 participating teams were winners from the third round. Bold teams won and moved ahead the quarter finals.

Final

The final match was played on May 13, 2008. The venue was Stadion Evžena Rošického. Bold team won the Czech Republic Football Cup 2007-08.

AC Sparta Praha won the Czech Republic Football Cup 2007-08. FC Slovan Liberec promoted to the UEFA Cup 2008-09 Second Qualifying Round.

Way to the victory

AC Sparta Praha joined (like all teams from Gambrinus liga) the Czech Republic Football Cup 2007-08 in the second round and won all six matches. They won it three-times in last three seasons.
