Quenching The Light

Quenching The Light (2008) is a PSA that highlights the persecutions of Baha'is in Iran. It is produced by Mithaq Kazimi and features the paintings of Baha'i martyrs drawn by Mahmehr Golstaneh mixed with live video footage of the decedents of the martyrs. It was first released on Google video and then later on YouTube.

K11UU has acquired the rights to telecast the video in the American Samoa via their local channel and cable. Other television station airing the video include Persian Broadcasting Company, Jaam-E-Jam, Andisheh TV and Channel 1 (Iran).

Response

The video has attracted attention and inspired two other projects which include WorldArt Collective project along with Freedom to Believe Foundation.
