He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1887 and Harvard Law School in 1891. He began his legal practice with his father, George Azro Bingham (later a judge of the New Hampshire Supreme Court) in Littleton, New Hampshire. George H. Bingham was also the grandson of Andrew S. After the elder George A. Bingham died in 1895; his son continued the law practice at Littleton. Soon he moved to Manchester, where he went into law practice with David A. Taggart.
