Josh Heupel, (born March 22, 1978), is the current quarterbacks coach at the University of Oklahoma and former quarterback for the Oklahoma Sooners football team (1999-2000).

Personal

Heupel was raised, and played high school football, in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He is recently married.

His sister, Andrea Heupel, is married to Democratic U.S. politician Dan Boren.

College career

Heupel began his collegiate playing career at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, and spent one season at Snow College, a junior college located in Ephraim, Utah, before transferring to Oklahoma.

Coaching career

Heupel spent the 2004 season as a graduate assistant for the University of Oklahoma football team. In 2005, Heupel was hired as the tight ends coach for the University of Arizona football team.
