Tenor altino

Tenor altino

A tenor altino (or contraltino) is a highly specialized type of tenor within Italian opera known for the ability to sing into the treble vocal range without using falsetto. This term is used almost exclusively in Italy and is similar to the English term countertenor and the French term haute-contre.
